Jameson Distillery Dublin

Rockbrook were tasked with the design, installation and commissioning of all audio visual and intelligent lighting components for the Jameson Distillery brand home in Bow Street Dublin.

Project details

This project is a prime example of how technology has been used to tell a story while largely remaining invisible. The technology itself is not the center piece. Near Field RFID technology was used on props to automatically start exhibits on the very clever “Our Story” projection tables. This paved the way for the brand hosts to focus on the story with seemingly magical AV triggers. To ensure robustness hidden AV control switches were hidden from view to act as a backup in the unlikely event of a failure. This level of engineering consideration makes for a very robust system in a very busy brand home.

Projection mapping technology was utilised effectively in the ”Our Process” rooms where 3D models were brought to life. Surround sound atmospheric tracks within the rooms were complimented with separate pendant speakers for direct vocal audio. This level of audio separation created a very realistic production environment that allowed the narrative to push through. The exhibit technical design needed to accommodate tours in 8 different languages without the use of audio guides. Our scope was the full specification, installation and commissioning of all AV systems, an enormous 2000 fixture show controlled DMX lighting system and all point of sale equipment.
