Who we are

Rockbrook Group

Founded in 2003 by five engineers with a passion for delivering complex automation projects, we are an Irish owned company with 40+ employees, two divisions and growing. Typically we work on large scale automation and AV projects throughout Ireland, the UK and Europe for Irish and International blue chip companies.

Originally our automation division focused on providing complex, highly technical industrial automation solutions to the food and beverage industry. Over the years as the world around us became more automated, increased demand for our specialist skills has allowed us to diversify into other business sectors such as the built environment and infrastructure.

Along side our automation business we also developed and grew a specialist audio visual division providing a range of custom engineered AV solutions, interactive media and content. This business initially came about due to frustration from industrial clients with the lack of expertise available to deliver and display process control systems. Repeated requests to properly display their process in real time on large scale video walls instigated the growth of the business. Today our AV division works on technical projects for award winning Irish and International clients.

We wanted to build a robust technical infrastructure from the start, when establishing the Museum of Literature Ireland. At MoLI, Rockbrook installed a complex exhibition system, with a number of bespoke audio-visual components across several floors of the museum – working within challenging constraints of both a treasured historic house and a new construction project. Rockbrook’s solid installation, responsive support service and ability to troubleshoot and problem solve makes them an ideal partner for any exhibition project.

Rockbrook were engaged by OPDAC (a joint venture company between ESB and Bord na Móna) through the fit-out contractor to provide the AVs for the Oweninny Visitor Centre, in North Co Mayo. I can say for a start that the Rockbrook team were a pleasure to work with and they demonstrated a great can do work attitude and were very much solution focused throughout the project. Rockbrook took the teams concepts and created the AVs that are integral to the Oweninny Visitor Centre experience. It is fair to say the project was a challenging to deliver and was further complicated by the COVID 19 pandemic but to Rockbrook’s credit they handled the unfolding situation in a professional and competent manor. The team was a credit to you and we are very appreciative of the excellent work and that they put in to achieve what we consider to be a stand out exhibition.

Birr Castle Demesne worked with Brian and his team at Rockbrook as part of the upgrade project within our Science Galleries. We found all ran well, professional set up and good follow up support if needed. I would be very happy to have the chance of working with Brian and his team on future upgrades and new installations.

Brian and the team were extremely professional throughout. They were able to bring our concepts to life and create bespoke solutions for our new state-of-the-art Visitor Information centre in the heart of the Walled City of Derry within the specified deadlines. The aftercare service has been excellent, and nothing is too much trouble. Consumers love the unique and quirky technology solutions they created for our centre.

Rockbrook supplied and installed the hardware for the audio visual exhibits in the new Biggin Hill Memorial Museum, which opened in January 2019. The team were knowledgeable and helpful throughout the appointment, and the finished exhibits are excellent. On the rare occasion that the museum team has needed assistance with the hardware since opening, Rockbrook have offered excellent customer support service and solved any issues quickly.

Rockbrook have played a critical part in the developmental and maintenance of Dublin Airports Airfield Lighting Control System since 2006. I have always found that their team to be highly skilled and competent. They possess a large wealth of experience gain from other sites and are always available to provide advice especially regarding options on maximising the safety of operation. Their level of service is consistently high, shown commitment to programme, have been flexible if agreed dates change. Rockbrook have built up an excellent working relationship with our design and asset care departments and with the Control Tower staff of the IAA. Their collaborative approach mirrors the four pillars of the Dublin Airports values ethos which include Brilliant at the Essentials; Respecting each other’s Value; Passing the Baton, not the Buck; and Always Better. As a result of the successful completion of amendments and their support/maintenance of the system over the years a high level of confidence and trust has now been developed by Dublin Airport in the Rockbrook team. Rockbrook are considered an integral part of the Dublin Airport’s airfield team in delivering this.
