Project details
For this project we were tasked with the generation of the concept from the beginning. Our concept was to bring the cliffs experience inside as quite often visitors miss the opportunity to experience the cliffs due to low visibility, bad weather or for some the lack of the required fitness levels and mobility. The center used digital displays to tell the story of the cliff’s history, geology and wildlife. The centerpiece was a green screen exhibit which allowed the visitor to place themselves at various locations along the cliff coast and indeed on a boat at sea.
High velocity fans were used to replicate the effect of the wind on hair and clothes movement and add a touch of realism to the videos created. As this is a video opportunity and not a photo opportunity a significant IT upgrade and video storage system was developed by our team to make the most of the poor internet coverage in this area. To date over 1.2 million videos have been recorded with fewer than 10 call outs since it went live in 2014. A dedicated kids area was created to allow adults to browse while the kids are kept occupied. All video and kids creations could then be shared on Facebook by means of large gallery touch screens. Our team designed and created all of the content and in a truly turnkey venture.
